Indigenous
The Yorke Regional Development Board is funded
to administer on behalf of the Department of Employment and Workplace
Relations (DEWR) to roll out Economic Development for Indigenous
people across the Yorke Region.
This is a year by year funding scheme which encourages
the use of programs within the DEWR network to fund Indigenous people
into jobs with assistance to employers. It also through other aspects
is able to assist funding for Indigenous people to start up a small
business. We are also able to assist with many other aspects of
Indigenous training through the Community Development Employment
Program (CDEP). This program gives Indigenous people two days a
week paid training which will enable them to be job ready at the
end of the training.
The Yorke Regional Development Board also assists with funding for
Indigenous people through the SA Works Program.
