South Australia Works Success Stories

There are many success stories of SA Works participants who have moved onto bigger and better things. A few success stories are listed below to inspire potential participants.

Success for Les

Les came to the Work to Work Project in May 2007 assuming that due to his age and we may not be able to help him. After counselling and support Les was soon motivated to seek a new career path which he chose in the Security Industry. Les was supported to attend and complete a Certificate III in Security and also extended to Canine Handling (which was his passion). He was then supported in gaining his Security License and trained in interview preparation and techniques.

Les was successful in gaining employment from his first interview and was soon heading off to work in the industry of his choice. He has also been asked by his Trainer to return to Tactical Training to share his success with their new students as inspiration, especially for the mature participants. Les is a fantastic example of how a great attitude, determination and ‘can do’ attitude can go a long way.

Les would like to say that he found the whole project and everything he attended very relevant, of great benefit and very practical in helping him gain work.

Thanks Les, and Well Done !!
